Larry Niven and Edward M. Lerner: Fleet of Worlds

Larry Niven and Edward M. Lerner are pleased to announce the re-release in mass-market paperback of their Known Space collaboration Fleet of Worlds.

Ringworld, Niven's Nebula-, Hugo-, and Locus-award-winning novel gave readers a tantalizing glimpse of five worlds fleeing at near light-speed from the supernovae chain reaction at the galactic core. The alien Puppeteers revealed few of their secrets-and in Fleet of Worlds we discover the dark secrets the aliens needed to hide....

In its original release, Fleet of Worlds was the "Sci Fi Essential" novel for September, 2007. Fleet of Worlds went on to be named a finalist for the 2008 Prometheus Award, given by the Libertarian Futurist Society.

“A lively prequel to Niven’s 1970 classic, Ringworld... Fans of hard SF will be well rewarded.”

— Publishers Weekly

“Intriguing human and alien characters and lucid scientific detail make this Sci Fi ESSENTIAL book a good addition to most sf collections.”

— Library Journal

“Needs recommending within the science fiction community about as much as a new Harry Potter novel does — well, anywhere.”

— Locus Magazine
