SFWA Member Edward Carmien wins Heinlein Centennial Short Story Prize

Edward Carmien won the Heinlein Centennial's professional division short story contest with his story "The Beautiful Accident." In addition, he received the Science Fiction Research Association's Mary Kay Bray Award for his review of Space Opera Renaissance (ed. by Hartwell & Cramer) appearing in issue 277 of the SFRA Review. Both awards were made at the recent Heinlein Centennial conference held in Kansas City, Missouri, where the Heinlein Centennial and the SFRA joined together July 6-8, 2007, to honor the work and contributions to Science Fiction and the space industry of Robert A. Heinlein on his 100th birthday.
