
***************************************************Ron D. Moore to serve as Nebula Toastmaster *************************************************** Ron D. Moore, head writer/executive producer and creator of the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica, will serve as Toastmaster for the 2007 Nebula Awards on May 12th in New York City. On the air since 2004, Moore's Battlestar Galactica has become a critics' favorite and was recently award the Peabody Award for outstanding achievement in television. The SciFi channel series explores the lives of imperiled survivors of a besieged planet, giving parallax considerations to politics, war, religion, sex, even what it means to be "human." The 2007 Nebula Awards® Weekend will be held Friday, May 11th through Sunday, May 13th at the Marriott in the Financial Center, New York City, 85 West Street, New York, NY 10006. The awards will be presented at a gala banquet on Saturday, May 12th. Other activities will include a group autograph session, SFWA semi-annual business meeting, and programing related to the writing profession.
