****************************************************************** New SFWA Author and Bookseller event in Long Beach ****************************************************************** SFWA will be hosting a new Author and Bookseller Event in Long Beach, California on Sunday September 19, 2004. The reception will honor independent booksellers and distributors in the west and the representatives who arrange author appearances at book stores. It will also provide authors a chance to meet with some of the people who sell their books. All SFWA members are welcome. The Author and Bookseller Event will be held from 4-7 PM at the Capstan Club of the Queen Mary in Long Beach Harbor. Sheila Finch sheila.finch@gte.net is the organizer of the A&B, which will feature light refreshments and beverages. Sheila can also assist anyone wishing to join a group for dining after the reception on the boat or nearby. Cabins on the Queen Mary are available at the special rate of $109 (double or single).
